Dr Sonya Bennett

Dr Sonya Bennett has been appointed to Ophthalmology New Zealand’s (ONZ’s) board.

Board chairman, Dr Dean Corbett, said he was delighted to welcome Dr Bennett as ONZ’s newest director. “Sonya has been very active in many facets of New Zealand ophthalmology, particularly with regard to enabling the adoption of MIGS devices both within the public hospitals and in the private sector.

“Her experience in this area will help ONZ ensure we are doing everything possible to allow New Zealand ophthalmologists to offer the latest and most efficacious treatments across the scope of our profession and to act as advocates for our patients.”
