Apple AR CLs within the decade?

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of TF International Securities sparked a flurry of comments in the tech world after publishing an investor note outlining Apple’s pipeline for augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality products, saying Apple AR contact lenses could be launched by 2030.

Apple AR CLs will likely rely on an iPhone, predicted Kuo, serving as an extension of the iPhone experience rather than having independent computing power and storage.

In the more immediate future, Apple plans to release its mixed-reality headset in mid-2022, followed by AR glasses by 2025, said Kuo.
