BTP International Designz is changing it up with new brands added to its portfolio. BTP’s Trish Orr says the company is known for their point of difference and quality products but needed something special in large ladies’, men’s and ladies’ small face designer ranges. To achieve this, and after much research, BTP has added four new brands to its portfolio: Ice Cream, Glacée, Gridiron and Grace.
Orr says the changes are the result of a lot of hard work and the timing is in sync with the movement in the independent market. “The independent optometrist must keep looking at new products to be able to offer the best selection and value for their patients. This is why BTP needed to make this decision and change with them.”
She is also particularly pleased to announce the new line of “indestructible” frames for children and babies from Nano Vista (for more see below).
BTP will no longer distribute Empire and Vera Wang, which have been taken over by OIC and MSO respectively.
Nano Vista
Nano Vista frames - ergonomically designed, fun kids’ frames for all ages - are available in size 34-50, and versatile as they can be used with removable temples or worn with a headband. Thanks to their unique patented material, Siliflex, they are 35% lighter than an acetate frame, says Orr. The range is BPA free and manufactured with non-toxic and hypoallergenic material.
The patented 52-hinge systemis designed to offer maximum flexibility with 360-degree rotation and, according to the company, allows you to “forget about constant breakages”.
Another quirky aspect is the glow in the dark feature – the temples have fluorescent particles mixed with the temple colours to create a glowing effect - handy for road safety and easy-to-find frames at night time.
All Nano frames come with sports band, neck band and case.
