CooperVision ANZ has opened its newly expanded warehouse facility in Torrensville, South Australia, heralding a 65% increase in its capacity to support growth across Australia and New Zealand.

The expansion reinforces CooperVision’s commitment to the region’s optometry sector through smarter infrastructure, faster fulfilment and continued investment in local capability, said Sam Ng, CooperVision APAC head of distribution.

“The Torrensville site is our central hub for customer service and distribution across ANZ and this expansion ensures we can keep pace with growing demand while delivering even better outcomes for our customers. It’s a strategic investment in operational excellence, designed to scale with us as we grow.”

The new facility uses solar energy and leverages Voice Pick (a hands- and eyes-free system using intelligent voice agent and speech recognition software to direct employees) and real-time inventory control across more than 40,000 stock-keeping units, while the layout redesign supports faster, more accurate order processing and sets the foundation for future automation, said Shane Croft, head of operations, CooperVision ANZ.

“We’re streamlining operations from pick to dispatch, boosting productivity, improving accuracy and creating a more responsive supply chain. This isn’t just a warehouse upgrade – it’s a step change in how we deliver for customers across the region.”

Using local business contractors to promote regional growth, the expansion was completed in just three months, ahead of schedule, with no disruption to service levels, said Michelle North, CooperVision ANZ general manager. “This project is part of our broader strategy to strengthen CooperVision’s ability to adapt and thrive in Australia’s evolving healthcare landscape. By investing in local infrastructure and partnerships, we’re building the foundations for long-term, sustainable growth."
