With the next 24 Hours of Le Mans race fast approaching (21-22 August 2021), organiser Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) has signed a three-year partnership with Essilor to promote the importance of optimal vision on the road, 24 hours a day.

The partnership will involve trackside initiatives and public-awareness campaigns urging both professional and casual drivers to have their vision properly corrected. Essilor will also take part in ACO’s MissionH24 programme, which aims to create a class for electric-hydrogen-powered prototypes at the 2024 Le Mans race.

“The 24 Hours of Le Mans represents a testing ground for the mobility of tomorrow, in line with the sustained investment of Essilor in innovative visual solutions, combining performance, endurance, safety and comfort,” said the two organisations in a joint statement.
