IOA and Essilor share news
The International Opticians Association (IOA) has joined forces with Essilor in “a strategic partnership to develop joint continuing education programmes and promote knowledge sharing among the eyecare profession”, using Essilor’s eye care practitioner-focused digital publication, Points de Vue.
IOA’s director of development Elaine Grisdale said this was a new step to allow IOA to share its work and expertise with even more eye care professionals across the globe.
“Combining Points de Vue and the IOA’s reach, this exciting partnership will help us fulfil our mission to increase knowledge sharing among eye care professionals and promote educational training and professional information across disciplines,” said Essilor’s Points de Vue editor, Olga Prenat said,
The IOA is also working with Essilor on an international programme for continuing education for opticians, said Grisdale adding Essilor will be a platinum sponsor at next year’s IOA Summit in Bangkok.
Points de Vue was established in 1979 and is currently distributed digitally to around 100,000 eye care professionals across 186 countries.
