Berri, South Australia, one of the locations for Specsavers' record salary packages

Specsavers has introduced an AU$225,000 salary package each for three regional optometrist roles in Australia, the largest ever offered by the business.  

The positions, located in regional South Australia, Queensland and New South Wales, offer more than double the salary of a metropolitan practice.   

Specsavers recruitment director Raj Sundarjee said there has been very strong interest in these roles, which are likely to be filled in early 2020.  

“We’re really excited to offer these fantastic packages to encourage optometrists to consider the move to a regional location. We’ve had an extraordinary response to the opportunities in Berri, Emerald and Taree, and we will be offering additional packages for other regional locations in the new year.”
