Matteo Accornero, the new GM for EssilorLuxottica ANZ

EssilorLuxottica Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) has promoted Matteo Accornero from general manager retail ANZ to general manager ANZ, replacing Marco Caccini. Accornero now heads the group’s ANZ business strategy across both distribution channels, retail and professional solutions.

Accornero said he is excited about his new, extended role. “I look forward to working closely with the entire professional solutions team to continue strengthening EssilorLuxottica’s position within Australia and New Zealand. We are more committed than ever to supporting the independent market and to empowering our partners to continue growing their business.”

Leveraging opportunities across EssilorLuxottica’s retail and professional solutions businesses will be key to ensure it can capitalise on the market’s growth potential, he said. “I would like to personally thank Marco Caccini for his leadership of the wholesale business in ANZ over the past two years and I wish him the best for his future endeavours.”
