The Cornea and Contact Lens Society (CCLS) 2026 conference – themed Eyeland Vibes – is being held 12–14 February at Trinity Wharf in Tauranga. Back by popular demand is optometrist keynote Randy Kojima, lead researcher and global educator for specialty contact lens (CL) company KATT Design Group. Kojima serves on the faculty of Pacific University College of Optometry and is a renowned professional speaker and frequently published author within the specialty eyecare industry.

Corneal and cataract surgery specialist Dr Elsie Chan is this year’s ophthalmology keynote speaker. Working in private practice and at the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital in Melbourne, Dr Chan has authored more than 55 publications relating to corneal disease and cataract surgery. She is an honorary fellow with the University of Melbourne (Centre for Eye Research Australia) and is currently a principal investigator for studies on Fuchs’ endothelial dystrophy, keratoconus and ocular trauma.
