Warby Parker has launched its first brand of daily contact lenses, Scout, with a three-month supply available for US$110.
“We’re really excited to be a one-stop shop,” said Warby Parker co-founder Dave Gilboa.
The US optometry chain offers an at home try on service for its glasses and is promoting a similar model for its lenses. Customers with prescriptions can order a six-day trial of contacts for US$5 before purchasing a three-month supply.
Warby Parker launched online in 2010 and opened its first stores in 2013. The company now has more than 100 stores across the US. In selected stores, customers can receive comprehensive eye exams and contact lens fittings in addition to shopping for frames and sunglasses.
